Helldivers II

Sorry in advance for the poor quality of the images.

Time to visit memory lane with this post. Helldivers was definitely a project with many challenges, but it was an incredible experience and I made a lot of friends along the way. I learned a lot from being part of it. The experience pushed me not only technically and artistically, but on a deeply personal level, sparking growth I didn't expect at the time.

As Lead Environment Artist, I managed a team of eight. My team and I helped build the different planets and worlds of Helldivers. From sand and forests to arctic snow, we hit all different biomes and had to think differently for each one of them. I directed and gave feedback on organic, hard surface, and vegetation art to keep the visual style and quality consistent. I worked closely with the direction team to shape and realize ideas, and synced with Tech and Design to make sure our approach to creating assets made sense across the board.

I also mentored our more junior artists and organized weekly workshops to encourage inspiration and personal growth.
